Luke W. McConnell is an experienced trial attorney and litigator who joined the Civil Rights Litigation Group in 2023 to further the firm’s mission of fighting for people’s rights. Luke has been a criminal defense attorney for more than 14 years and a civil litigator for more than nine years. Luke has tried over 95 jury trials, and he brings a wealth of sophisticated litigation and trial experience to all of the cases he works on. Luke handles cases in every jurisdiction in Colorado as well as the federal District of Colorado and has been responsible for millions of dollars in civil judgments for his clients throughout his career. Luke has particularized expertise in handling cases involving mental health, which is an issue he is very passionate about. Luke chairs the criminal defense section of the law firm, and his immense trial experience is an essential asset to the firm’s civil rights litigation.

Outside of work, Luke enjoys cooking, ski mountaineering, racing road bikes, mountain biking, hiking, reading, DYI projects, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
